NOW TUESDAY 6TH JANUARY 2015
“DURING THOSE MANY YEARS WE WERE LIVING IN A FOREIGN LAND, SPEAKING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE AND LIVING UNDER A FOREIGN KING”
A new Bible study series is beginning at God's Garage on Tuesday 6th January 2015 "COURAGEOUS" is a new series that is based on the book of Daniel in the Old Testament. Daniel's faith is tested to the limits. He has a courage that you can hear and see. He knows how to stand up for that which is true regardless of the consequences. He has a unquenchable, courageous faith in God.
In today's world we need courageous people like Daniel. People who are followers of Jesus that have the courage to stand up for His ways, His truth, His justice and His love. To love people regardless of their behaviour and remain firm in times of great change and uncertainty - Just the same way as Daniel did in his time.
The book of Daniel is a great example in how that can be accomplished. During the God's Garage study weeks we will examine how we can be unquenchable and courageous in our faith in many different ways. We will look at the following themes week by week.

In each session we will watch a section of the film that was released on the 1st October 2013 called "The Book of Daniel" which is a presentation of the life and exploits of Daniel the prophet.
Daniel was taken into slavery after the fall of Jerusalem in 605 B.C., Daniel (Robert Miano) is forced to serve the most powerful king in the world, King Nebuchadnezzar. Faced with immanent death, Daniel proves himself a trusted advisor and is placed among the king's wise men. Threated by death at every turn Daniel never ceases to serve the king until he is forced to choose between serving the king or honoring God. With his life at stake Daniel has nothing but his faith to stand between him and the lions den. This is only the tip of the iceberg for Daniel, the film navigates us through Daniel's life as a faithful, courageous man of God.
Daniel had the ability to not only interpret dream's but to state the dreams without having prior foreknowledge, or to interpret the writings on the wall made by the finger of God, or to be rescued from the mouths of lions. These are all displays of the faith of a man who, from his youth, determined to learn and follow the ways of God and to stand when other don not stand.
Daniel had courage to stand and be counted.........come along on a Tuesday night and find out more.
