Rock Goes The Gospel is a series of Monday to Friday daily devotionals that links themes and lyrics from rock music tracks from the 60's right up to the present day modern rock songs. Along with, stories and passages from the bible.
Contained within rock music there is often some of the "Big Questions" in life. "Who are we?" "Where are we going?" "Is there any purpose to life?" "How can I keep going?" "What happens when you die?" "Is there such a thing as real love?" "Can you ever be content in this life." "Is God out there?" "What happens when relationships break down?" The real stuff of life.
In rock music we often also find themes of "Loneliness" "Abandonment" "Rejection" "Heartache" and so on.
These "Big Questions" and themes are also questions and themes that the people of the "Old Book" often ask. Sometimes in the "Old Book" there are answers to these things, sometimes not.
In "Rock Goes The Gospel" there will be a rock track each day from "YouTube", the lyrics of that rock track and some devotional comments about the theme in the rock track and a bible passage that fits with the rock track.
